My 15 year old son has recently changed piano instructors to Adam. His piano technique has already strengthened, he gained even more knowledge of music and music theory in a short time, and is playing more complicated pieces. Adam also involves the parent in what assignments are and their successes. We are very happy working with Adam!

Adam makes me feel inspired and makes me want to learn more about playing piano. Before, I would just touch the keys and not read the music that’s in front of me. When my mom offered me a music lesson with Adam I accepted, so I could learn more about playing piano. I can’t wait to learn more from Adam, he has already taught me a lot. He’s a great music teacher and I enjoy working with him.

I am delighted to share our experience with Mr. Adam, who has been an exceptional piano instructor for my 8-year-old daughter. His patience, kindness, and clarity in teaching have significantly contributed to her growing confidence and skill at the piano. Mr. Adam’s punctuality and consistency in his teaching approach are commendable.
Encouraged by the positive changes in my daughter, we have also introduced our 6-year-old son to his lessons. It’s been a joy to witness their progress and enthusiasm for music under Mr. Adam’s guidance.
I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Adam to anyone considering piano lessons for their children. His ability to provide clear, understandable instructions and foster a love for music is truly remarkable. Give him a chance, and I am confident you will be as pleased as we are.

With Adam Bergeron as my teacher, I learned not only what to practice, but how to practice effectively. This has led to me enjoying my practice time and seeing progress in my skills. I can even apply this to my daily life outside of music.

Our 8-year-old son Nathan has been taking piano lessons with Adam for 4 or 5 months now and we could not be more pleased. Adam is great with Nathan, and they have a great rapport together. Nathan looks forward to his piano lessons and seems to be really enjoying it. We have even caught him playing piano outside his normal practice times. He is advancing in his skills and continues to be engaged! The thing that is most important to us is that Nathan develops a love for playing music and Adam has done a great job fostering that!

How do online lessons work?
I use Zoom primarily for the majority of my students. I have alter the camera angles and share music as needed and I make sure that I can see the student, their hands and posture, and keys.
I learn better in person. Why do you offer lessons online?
Learning piano and music is not a matter of proximity, it is a matter of teaching skill and technique. A good teacher will get results and be able to teach a student regardless of the format. Likewise a bad teacher in person, is still a bad teacher.
Why should I take lessons with you?
Unlike some other teachers who rush their students through one piece after another, I focus on form, technique, and theory. I work to ensure that each student knows why they are playing music in a certain way. My students have fun, learn at their pace, and feel empowered in their learning.
How does billing work?
I have a simple billing system which allows you to pay for services on a monthly basis via PayPal or Venmo.
My student has trouble sitting still and paying attention and doesn’t look at the screen often. How do you control them over video?
I find that trying to control the student does not work. Instead I work to get buy-in and engage the student, bringing excitement and curiosity to our lessons. For younger students and students who need a lot of movement, I encourage quick stretching and movement breaks. The student does not have to look at the screen the whole time in order to learn.
I’m an adult learner and am nervous about looking stupid. Do you take adult students?
Absolutely! There is no age at which you cannot learn how to play piano. I work with each student to understand where they are with their experience and skill, how the student learns best, and how to meet them where they are at. I love sharing my passion for music and want everyone to feel safe and happy in their learning.
What kind of students do you work with?
I work with students 7-99+ with all levels of musical and piano experience. My students range from adult learners who are fulfilling a lifelong wish, young students getting into music for the first time, singers who are looking to learn how to accompany themselves, older students who are trying to get into music school, and more advanced students who have outlearned a previous teacher.
I don’t play piano but am interested in music theory and composition. How does that work?
I work with any student looking to learn music theory and composition. I will always communicate when something is outside of my teaching ability. My focus is on the student and their learning.
I’m another online music teacher. Are you open to networking?
Yes! I’d love to network with other professionals, especially if we have different focuses and can refer students to one another as the need arises.
